The 2nd Stakeholders’ consultation on Tajikistan Textile and Clothing Strategy was conducted in Dushanbe on April 21-22, 2015. The 2-day workshop was organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the Trade Cooperation Programme in Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and funded by the Government of Switzerland.
The second stakeholders’ consultation for Tajikistan T&C strategy validated intermediary results achieved based on the first consultation, consolidated in the “Response Paper”, and defined clear strategic orientations for the upcoming five years period.
The first day of the workshop was dedicated to the review and validation of the Response Paper’s findings, with the help of the P&P strategy design working group, Textile and Clothing sector experts and ITC to ensure consensus on the current state of the industry.
The second day was specifically dedicated to the work on the Plan of Action (PoA) of the strategy. Innovative solutions and examples were presented to the stakeholders by the sector experts to stimulate out-of-the-box thinking during this exercise.
The workshop was conducted by the ITC’s staff as well as international textile and clothing experts.
