UNION OF CRAFTSMEN OF TAJIKISTAN (UCT)
The Union of Craftsmen of Tajikistan represents 95 members who are mostly individual producers of a broad range of handcrafted products such as wooden combs and barrettes, fashion accessories made from wool such as hats, gloves, cotton bags with traditional ornaments, and others.
The UCT is the main link for bringing together national handicraft producers in Tajikistan with domestic and international traders, aiming at promoting a striving crafts sector.
The UCT’s mission is to provide training and technical assistance to its members. It provides product promotion services, participates regularly in national and international exhibitions, and handles the export of handicrafts of members.

Jahonnek was established in 2009 to produce high quality leather bags and fashion accessories in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It mainly uses Pamiri Yak and Hissar goat hides tanned with eco-friendly chemicals. The company incorporates traditional designs and ethnic textiles/embroideries reflecting the wonderful cultures of the remote High Pamir Mountains of Central Asia, bordering Afghanistan and China.
The company applies and promotes fair trade principles and provides consistent income to marginalized women including Afghan refugees. It provides training to women and cooperate with Non-Governmental-Organizations working with refugees.

Rukhom means “onyx stone of rulers and leaders” that brings power, wisdom and peace. Rukhom is the national leader in manufacturing products from semiprecious stones in Tajikistan, a country where stone working is deeply rooted in its culture.
Founded in 1994, it has three workshops and provide employment to 83 skilled workers. The high quality of its products is widely recognized and stands out for its stylish design. Rukhom received numerous awards for our handmade products and participated in the EXPO 2005 in Japan.
The company is well-known for its onyx, jade, lapis, and other semi-precious stones, of which it makes fine jewelry or decorative home accessories.

Armughon is the handicraft arm of the Zerafshan Tourism Development Association (ZTDA) which has been created in 2008. Armughon aims at developing sustainable and inclusive tourism, providing income to disadvantaged rural women and applying fair trade principles. It has four production groups with 120 women which have been trained on sewing and craft making.
The beauty of its designs inspired by ethnic ornaments is widely admired. One of products was awarded a “Seal of Excellence” of UNESCO in 2014. All products are 100% produced with domestic cotton and natural dyes.
