For the third time, Tajik craft producers will showcase their masterpieces at the leading international trade fair, Ambiente in Frankfurt, which will be held in February 2017.
The potential Tajik participants of the Frankfurt fair were instructed on preparation for the fair and guided on gaining from the participation in the fair during a workshop held on 21 June 2016 in Dushanbe. In the workshop, ITC international consultant on marketing and design, Gabriela Byrde, informed participants on market opportunities and international design trends. She also showcased the results of the previous Tajikistan participation at Ambiente.
The participants were given an overview of the fair and instructed on suitable product lines and how to be prepared to receive and respond to orders. The workshop also touched upon issues of design development and how to make the best use of the fair.
Ms. Byrde, during her mission to Tajikistan, also visited several handicraft companies and organizations in Dushanbe, Khatlon and Sughd regions, and discussed product selection and development with the potential participants of the Ambiente fair-2017.
With over 4,700 exhibitors from about 90 countries, and roughly 145,000 trade visitors from 160 countries annually, Ambiente is the world’s most important consumer goods trade fair.
