Textile and clothing companies were introduced to financial instruments

At a series of one-day informative meetings held in Dushanbe (17 December) and Khujand (19 December) representatives of the Tajik textile and clothing companies were introduced to newest offers and programmes of accessing the finance available for the small and medium enterprises in the country.

The initiative was organized by Dushanbe-based “ACT Development Group” consulting company, in partnership with the Government of Switzerland through the International Trade Center, GEFF Tajikistan facility and Cooperative “Sarob”. 

Local and international financial institutions and organizations were invited to present their financial products and services to the Tajik textile and clothing enterprises. They informed enterprises about available access to finance mechanisms and instruments in Tajikistan.

Mr. Rustam Shodibekov, “ACT Development Group” Director, says: “We organized these meetings to understand and assess what financial services/ instruments are available to the SMEs, conditions of financing,  needs of textile and clothing companies’ in terms of financial services /instruments, challenges faced by them to access finance, challenges faced by financial institutions to provide finance, etc.”. 

Access to financial services enables the private sector to expand the business, provide jobs and help to drive economic growth in the country.

The event also served as a platform for the exchange of information and networking between financial institutions, organizations facilitating the access to finance, consulting companies and the textile and clothing enterprises in Tajikistan.
